Trailing Arm Bushing: Service and Repair
Removal
REMOVAL
NOTE: Before proceeding, See: Service Precautions/Rear Suspension.
1. Raise and support vehicle. Be sure not to place frame contact hoist rear lift arms in position that will hinder axle trailing arm bushing access.See:

2. On each side of vehicle, remove wheel mounting nuts (3), then rear tire and wheel assembly (1).
3. Support each side of axle at coil springs. Place just enough load on jack stands to support axle at rear.
4. On each side of vehicle, remove nut (1) and thru-bolt (3) fastening axle trailing arm (2) to forward mounting bracket (4) on body.
