14. Apply a light coat of Mopar Anti-Seize (P/N 05012249AB) or equivalent to the halfshaft stub shaft splines (Figure 7).
15. Apply a light coat of Mopar Anti-Seize (P/N 05012249AB) or equivalent to the hub mounting surface (Figure 8).
16. Install the new hub and bearing assembly onto the halfshaft stub shaft and into the steering knuckle until squarely seated on the face of the steering
knuckle.
17. Install the four hub and bearing mounting bolts from the rear of the steering knuckle. Progressively and equally tighten all four mounting bolts using
a crisscross pattern. Tighten the four hub and bearing mounting bolts to 45 ft. lbs. (65 N.m).
18. Remove the protective rubber plug from the wheel speed sensor hole in the hub and bearing assembly.
19. Insert a small amount of wheel speed sensor lube onto the sensor and in the sensor hole on the bearing housing.
20. Install the original wheel speed sensor into the sensor hole in the bearing housing.
CAUTION:
When installing the wheel speed sensor, do not rotate sensor, as this may cause the sensor to rub on the tone ring and be damaged.
21. Install the new wheel speed sensor retaining bolt and tighten the bolt to 71 in. lbs. (8 N.m).
22. Install the brake shield onto the knuckle. Install and tighten the three mounting screws to 71 in. lbs. (8 N.m).
