Emissions Maintenance Light: Service and Repair
Emission Maintenance Reminder Light (EMR) Reset

Note:

Reseting the EMR light without performing the required maintenance may be in violation of federal law. Only after performing the required
maintenance, should the EMR light be reset. SEE Emission System Maintenance.

Note:

Resetting the EMR light requires the use of a scan tool. The following example is for a DRB II scan tool.

1.

Connect scan tool to diagnostic connector, in engine compartment.

2.

Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position, and access "Select Systems", on scan tool.

3.

Select the applicable engine.

4.

Select with or without A/C.

5.

Select "Fuel and Ignition".

6.

Select "Adjustments".

7.

Select "Reset EMR Light".

8.

Reset EMR Light.

9.

Turn ignition OFF and disconnect scan tool.
