Fuel Pressure Regulator: Service and Repair
Fuel Pressure Regulator Location
Warning: The fuel system is under constant pressure, even when the engine is OFF. Always release fuel pressure before servicing any fuel
system component.
Removal
1.
Release fuel system pressure. See: Fuel Filter/Fuel Pressure Release/Service and Repair
2.
Disconnect negative battery terminal and remove vacuum hose from fuel pressure regulator.
3.
Remove the fuel pressure regulator retainer screw.
4.
Remove the fuel pressure regulator retainer and regulator.
Warning: Wrap the fuel lines with a shop towel so that any spilled fuel will be absorbed.
