Backup Lamp Switch: Description and Operation
BACK-UP LAMPS (ATX)
Power for the back-up lamp portion of the park/neutral position switch is supplied on circuit F20.
This circuit is protected by a 10 amp fuse located in cavity 12 of the junction block. The switch is normally OPEN.
When the operator places the vehicle in REVERSE, circuit F20 is connected to circuit L1. The L1 circuit connects from the switch to the back-up
lamps. On vehicles equipped with the automatic day/night mirror, the L1 circuit is spliced to the mirror.
