the fluid must be removed from the booster (it is not necessary to replace the booster).

1.

Bend the provided beaded tie strap between the 16th and 17th bead from the rounded end as shown in Figure 11.

2.

Use the tie strap as a dipstick to determine if any brake fluid has accumulated in the brake booster as follows:

A.

Insert the dipstick, rounded end first, into the master cylinder mounting hole until it bottoms out and/or the dipstick bend is even with the
bottom of the mounting hole (Figure 12).

Remove the dipstick from the brake booster and check the brake fluid level.

If the fluid level is above the center of the slot in the rounded end (over 1/4") (Figure 13), the brake fluid must be removed from the
booster. Continue with Step 3.
