Support the fuel tank with the lifting device.

Remove all of the fuel tank mounting strap bolts and set the straps aside.

Disconnect the fuel filler vent tube (Figure 3) by squeezing the tabs and pulling it apart.
NOTE:
The fuel filler vent tube is the rear most tube located near the fuel filler tube. The two other fuel vapor tubes near the filler tube do NOT need
to be disconnected.

Disconnect the fuel line near the front of the tank (Figure 4).

Disconnect the fuel vapor line near the front of the tank (Figure 4).
21.
Disconnect the fuel pump module electrical connector (Figure 4).
22.
Lower the fuel tank assembly. When lowering the tank, pull the fuel filler vent line through the vehicle frame.
23.
Move the fuel tank assembly to a clean work area.
24.
Clean the top of the tank to remove any loose dirt and debris.
25.
Remove the fuel line from the clip on the side of the tank.
26.
Remove the fuel filter assembly bolt and then disconnect the fuel filter from the support (Figure 4).
