5. Remove the two fasteners securing the lower column mounting bracket (Fig. 1).
6. Using Miller Tool # 6831A, remove the roll pin securing the coupler to the lower steering shaft (Fig 2).
7. Slide the coupler off of the lower steering shaft.
8. Install the interference ring, p/n 05135259AA, over the notch in the lower steering shaft using the locating rib to align the interference ring in the
correct position.
