Flash: Erroneous MIL Illumination - Erroneous Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC's)
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves selectively erasing and reprogramming the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) with revised software.

2003 (LH) 300M/Concorde/Intrepid
NOTE:
THIS INFORMATION APPLIES TO VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH A NEXT GENERATION CONTROLLER (NGC) POWERTRAIN
CONTROL MODULE (PCM) BUILT PRIOR TO OCTOBER 15, 2002 (MDH1015XX).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) may illuminate due to erroneous detection DTCs. DTCs that may or may not be present are shown.
DIAGNOSIS:
Using a Scan Tool (DRB III(R)) with the appropriate Diagnostic Procedures Manual, verify all engine systems are functioning as designed. If DTCs are
present, other than those listed above, record them on the repair order and repair as necessary before proceeding further with this bulletin. If the
Symptom/Condition is present, perform the Repair Procedure.
