Separate torsion bar from vehicle.
6.
Repeat procedure on second torsion bar.
7.
Engage new torsion bar into hinge.
8.
Using a vise grip pliers locked on the end of the torsion bar, position torsion bar in the one notch beyond "HIGH" setting.
9.
Repeat procedure on second torsion bar.
10.
If spring tension is too high, move one or both torsion bars to lower setting until desired spring tension is achieved.
NOTE:
OWNERS SHOULD BE CAUTIONED THAT THE INCREASED TENSION MAY CAUSE THE DECK LID TO POP-UP WITH GREATER
FORCE UNDER NORMAL DECK LID LOAD CONDITIONS.
