ATC Calibration

FROM YOUR FILES. BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) IDENTIFICATION HAS BEEN CLARIFIED. ALL REVISIONS ARE MARKED WITH

1994 (LH) Concorde/Intrepid/Vision/LHS/New Yorker
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Temperature shifts at the outlets and/or the blower motor varies from a low speed to a high speed on Automatic Temperature Control (ATC) modules.
The Service Manual diagnostic/calibration procedure does not correct the condition.
DIAGNOSIS:
Using the Mopar Diagnostic System or the Scan Tool (DRBII/DRBIII) with the appropriate Diagnostic Manual, verify that the ATC system is
functioning as designed. If Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC's) are present, record them on the repair order for future reference and repair as necessary.
**If no codes are present and the body control module (BCM), P/N 4605218, contains version 7.4 software, continue with the repair procedure.**
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
**This repair involves exchanging the BCM, P/N 4605218, with BCM, P/N 4759227 or later version. **

**Verify the BCM contains version 7.4 software, BCM P/N 4605218, and contact the Chrysler Authorized Service Center for an exchange unit
containing version 7.5 or later software, BCM P/N 4759227 or later version. **
2.
Replace the BCM as described on Page 8E-6 of the 1994 Concorde/Intrepid/Vision/LHS/New Yorker Service Manual (Publication No.
81-270-4140).
3.
Calibrate the ATC System as described on Page 24-34 of the 1994 Concorde/Intrepid/Vision/LHS/New Yorker Service Manual (Publication No.
81-270-4140). Performing self diagnostics calibrates the ATC system.
NOTE:
THE ENGINE MUST BE RUNNING DURING ATC CALIBRATION.
