Lower Knee Bolster Panel to Door Panel Interference
MODELS:
1993-1994 (LH) Concorde/Intrepid/Vision
SYSTEM/CONDITION:
Instrument panel lower knee bolster contacts door trim panel damaging one or both of the panels.
If damage is present, proceed with the repair procedure.
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
This repair procedure involves repositioning the door and/or door trim panel to gain clearance between the knee bolster panel and door panel.
1.
If damage to the lower knee bolster panel or door panel is too extensive to paint, replace the affected panels.
2.
With the door in the closed position, check for clearance between the panels. A thin piece of cardboard or credit card should move easily between
the panels (2 mm to 4 mm).
