Transmission Shift Position Indicator Lamp: Service and Repair
The instrument cluster must be removed for Transmission Range Indicator service. Refer to Instrument Cluster Removal and Installation procedures.
REMOVAL
Negative Battery Cable Remote Terminal
1. Open hood and disconnect the negative battery cable remote terminal from the remote battery post.
2. Remove instrument cluster from vehicle.
3. Remove five cluster back cover retaining screws and remove the cover.
4. Unplug connectors from printed circuit board.
5. Remove cluster mask/lens from instrument cluster. Refer to Mask/Lens Removal and Installation procedures.
6. Carefully pull out subdial assembly from cluster housing and remove.
7. Remove two screws to Vacuum Fluorescent (VF) display Transmission Range Indicator and remove from cluster.
INSTALLATION

For installation, reverse the above procedures.
