Throttle Body: Service and Repair
Throttle Body Replacement

REMOVAL

1. Disconnect negative cable from battery
2. Remove wiper arms.
3. Remove cowl screen.
4. Remove cowl plenum.
5. Disconnect air plenum from throttle body
6. Remove throttle cable bracket.
7. Disconnect electrical connectors.
8. Disconnect top vacuum hose.
9. Remove 3 throttle body bolts.

10. Disconnect purge hose from throttle body.
11. Hold throttle lever in wide open position. Remove throttle cable and speed control cables from throttle arm.
12. Clean mating surfaces.

INSTALLATION

1. Hold throttle lever in wide open throttle position. Install throttle cable and speed control cable.
2. Connect purge tube to nipple on throttle body.
3. Install throttle body and bolts.
4. Tighten bolts to 26 Nm (19 ft. lbs.) torque.
5. Install vacuum hose.
6. Install throttle cable bracket and tighten bolts.
7. Install air plenum and tighten clamp.
8. Install cowl plenum.
9. Install cowl screen.

10. Install wiper arms.
11. Connect negative cable to battery.
