OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves replacing the positive battery terminal/cable assembly.
MODELS:
1998 (LH) Concorde/Intrepid
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The positive battery cable terminal may corrode because of exposure to road salt/moisture.
DIAGNOSIS:
Inspect the positive battery cable terminal for corrosion at the battery. After cleaning the terminal and battery inspect the terminal for metal deterioration.
If deterioration of the terminal is present perform the Repair Procedure.

THIS REPAIR IS COMPATIBLE WITH DAIMLERCHRYSLER'S MOBILE SERVICE PROGRAM AND DOES NOT REQUIRE HOISTS OR
OTHER FULL SERVICE FACILITY SPECIAL EQUIPMENT.
1.
Remove and isolate the negative battery cable from the remote terminal located on the shock tower.
2.
Remove the air cleaner housing.
3.
Remove the positive battery cable terminal from the battery.
4.
Remove the positive battery cable from the remote post base terminal.
