Cut generator lead at fuse link splice (Figure 1)

Remove existing positive battery cable assembly.
7.
Strip 1/2 inch of insulation from the generator wire and slide a piece of heat shrink tube over wire.
8.
Using rosin core solder, solder the new positive battery cable fuse link to the generator wire.
9.
Position the shrink tubing over the splice making sure all exposed wire conductors are covered.
10.
Shrink the heat shrink tube using a heat gun.
11.
Install the positive battery cable to the remote post terminal and battery.
12.
Install the air cleaner housing.
13.
Install the negative battery cable to the remote terminal on the shock tower.
