Power Mirror Switch: Testing and Inspection
Memory Set Switch Test
For complete circuit diagrams, refer to Wiring Diagrams.
1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Remove the driver side front seat side shield. Refer to Body for the procedure.
3. Disconnect the memory switch wire harness connector from the memory switch.
4. Use an ohmmeter to test for continuity between the memory switch terminals.
5. Connect one end of the ohmmeter to pin # 3. While holding the memory 1 button check for continuity with pin # 6. If not OK, replace the faulty
memory switch.
6. Connect one end of the ohmmeter to pin # 3. While holding the memory 2 button check for continuity with pin # 4. If not OK, replace the faulty
memory switch.
7. Connect one end of the ohmmeter to pin # 3. While holding the memory S button check for continuity with pin # 5. If not OK, replace the faulty
memory switch.
8. If OK, refer to Memory System Diagnosis and Testing in this group. If not OK, replace the faulty memory switch.
