Use a pencil to mark the position of the screw/washer assemblies on the liftplate to ease adjustment of the glass during reassembly (Fig. 1)

Remove the screws attaching the liftplate to the glass.
6.
Remove the nut attaching the top of the channel to the inner door panel.
7.
Use an allen wrench to hold the jack screw stationary, then remove the channel attaching nut.
8.
Remove the rear glass channel/liftplate assembly from the door.
9.
Remove the grease from the glass channel/liftplate assembly with mineral spirits (or equivalent) using a paper towel or rag. Two passes with
mineral spirits and a drying pass should be sufficient.
10.
Grease the channel/liftplate assembly with BSR Kit Lubricant, p/n 05019061AA, especially in the areas that the guides contact along the sides.
11.
Install the channel/liftplate assembly into the door, torque the upper nut to 9-12 Nm (80-106 in. lbs.).
12.
Use an allen wrench to hold the jack screw stationary, and torque the lower nut to 6.1-8.5 Nm (54-75 in. lbs.).
13.
Install the liftplate to glass washer/screws and align with the marks made in step 3. Torque the washer/screws to 6.1-8.5 Nm (54-75 in. lbs.).
14.
Operate the glass up and down several times to verify the shudder/chatter/creak sound has been eliminated.
15.
Verify the glass is adjusted properly.
16.
Use the procedures outlined in the appropriate service manual to install the door trim panel and water shield.
17.
Verify the function of the remote handle, door lock, courtesy lamp, window switches, power mirror, and speakers.
18.
Repeat procedure on other window regulator as necessary.

Use the procedures outlined in the appropriate service manual or the information on TechCONNECT to remove the window regulator, DO NOT
separate the glass from the regulator.
