"EVENT DATA" INFORMATION CAN BE FOUND ON MDS2(R) BULLETIN # 02001 DATED DECEMBER 18, 2001 OR THE JANUARY
2002 MTSC.

Replace the PCM with the part number (or later version) that is currently on the vehicle as described on page 8E-28 of the 2002
Concorde/Intrepid/300M Service Manual (Publication No. 81-270-02027).

3.

Start the vehicle and shift the transmission through the gears taking appropriate cautions. Verify hat the DTC(s) above is gone with the new PCM. 
Note, a hard fault due to a solenoid or an intermittent fault due to wiring may still be present. Repair as necessary before continuing with this
procedure.

4.

If a hard fault is not present, ride check to verify the fault condition has been corrected. Drive the vehicle in the operating condition specifically
captured in the "EVENT DATA" from item 1 above to verify vehicle is fixed. If a DTC does not occur replacing the PCM has fixed the vehicle.

Engine Misfire, No-Start, DTC P0351, P0352, P0353, P0354, P0355, P0356

1.

Replace the PCM with the part number (or later version) that is currently on the vehicle as described on page 8E-28 of the 2002
Concorde/Intrepid/300M Service Manual (Publication No. 81-270-02027).

2.

Clear all DTC's. Measure suspect ignition coil resistance (ohmmeter must be able to read accurately between 0 and 1 ohm). Good coils will be 0.4
ohms to 1.0 ohms. If ohmmeter cannot read accurately, then start engine and look for fault codes P0351 - P0356. If no codes then the coil(s) is
(are) good. Replace coil(s) if resistance is out of limits or codes are present.

3.

Replace spark plug(s) on suspected cylinders.

4.

Check catalytic converter by clearing all fault codes (even if done previously), start and warm up engine and road test at 20-50 mph for at least 2
minutes. Verify adaptive numerator is learned (54.1 release) and misfire monitor is enabled. Make sure catalyst monitor has completed at least one
good trip. Check for MIL illumination and fault codes before returning vehicle to customer.
