THIS SERVICE BULLETIN IS ALSO BEING RELEASED AS RAPID RESPONSE TRANSMITTAL **(RRT)** 11-028. ALL APPLICABLE SOLD
AND UN-SOLD RRT VIN's HAVE BEEN LOADED. TO VERIFY THAT THIS **RRT** SERVICE ACTION IS APPLICABLE TO THE
VEHICLE, USE VIP OR PERFORM A VIN SEARCH IN TECHCONNECT. ALL REPAIRS ARE REIMBURSABLE WITHIN THE PROVISIONS
OF WARRANTY.
SUBJECT:
Engine Crank Time Limited To Two Seconds Maximum
OVERVIEW:
**This Bulletin involves reconfiguring the vehicle to allow a ten seconds maximum crank time.**

NOTE:
**This bulletin applies to vehicles built between November 22, 2010 (MDH 1122XX) and February 21, 2011 (MDH 0221XX).**
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Some vehicles may not have Tip Start enabled and the engine crank time will be limited to two seconds as a result.
DIAGNOSIS:
If a customer's VIN is listed in VIP or your RRT VIN list, perform the repair. For all other customers that describe the symptom/condition, perform the
Repair Procedure.
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
NOTE:
Tip Start (sales code XBN) has been added to the affected vehicle population prior to the release of this bulletin.
1. Run a VIP report for the vehicle and verify that the XBN sales code appears under Optional Equipment.
2. Is the XBN sales code present?
a. Yes >>> Continue to Step # 3
b. No >>> Go to the Vehicle Option application in DealerCONNECT and on the Service Tab add the XBN sales code to the vehicle, then continue
to Step # 3.
3. Using wiTECH, reconfigure the vehicle to add the XBN sales code to the vehicle. This routine is available under the 'Diagnostic Procedures' tab
found on the home, 'Vehicle View', page of wiTECH.
4. Using wiTECH clear any DTCs which may have been set.
