Make sure READ is displayed. If not, press the HOLD key until READ is displayed.

Caution:

Make sure that injector wiring harness connector disconnected in Step B 2 is still disconnected before going to next step.

Press and hold the [ATM] key until the display reads:

(O2)

READ

Test (O2) activates the pump and pressurizes the system. Check to insure that there is no fuel leakage from the injector.

Tum off the ignition switch. Disconnect the DRBII. Reconnect the injector wiring harness connector that was disconnected in Step B 2.

Reinstall the air cleaner assembly.

Install the Recall Completion Label (California cars only):

1.

With a ball point pen, print your dealer code (5 digits) on the owner supplied Recall Completion Label.

2.

Peel the label from its backing and apply it next to the Vehicle Emission

Control Information Label.

Completion Reporting and Reimbursement

When a car has been serviced, submit the claim using the DIAL II System as a recall claim or Copy 2 of the Claim Form for our record of completion
and for your payment. If neither of these methods is available, the claim may be submitted on a WRO. (See Chapter 6, Warranty Policy and Procedure
Manual for complete claim processing instructions.)

If using a WRO, enter only one VIN per claim. Fill in the labor operation number and time allowance and write on the WRO "Recall #397 -- Fuel
Injector." Do not enter other service claims on the same WRO.

If an injector was used, add its cost plus a 25% parts allowance to your claim.

Parts Return

Removed injectors must be returned. Refer to Warranty Policy and Procedure Manual, Section 6, Subsection H, for complete material return
instructions.

Vehicle Not Available

If a car is not available for this service for a known reason, let us know by filling out and mailing the pre-addressed Vehicle Disposition Form attached to
Copy 1 of the Claim Form. No postage is required.

Following the above procedures will expedite the processing of your claim.
