2.2L & 2.5L Vehicles With EFI
a.
Disconnect original MAP sensor vacuum signal line at 90~ connector located near timing belt cover.
b.
Cut 1" off of formed vacuum hose, PN 4201264, and connect to 90~ connector of MAP sensor signal line. Formed vacuum hose should be
installed to have a downward slope from the MAP sensor to the 90~ connector.
c.
Use 3/16" vacuum hose connector, PN 4104998, and 3/16" rubber cap, PN 3580171, to plug old MAP sensor line.

2.2L Turbo Vehicles
a.
Disconnect upper 90~ connect from solenoid pack at the solenoid nearest passenger side shock tower (Figure 4).
b.
Use 3/16" vacuum hose connector, PN 4104998, and 3/16" rubber cap, PN 3580171, to plug 90~ connector removed in Step a.
c.
Cut 1" off of formed vacuum hose, PN 4201264, and connect to solenoid nipple. This MAP sensor vacuum line should not have any kinks
and should be installed to have a downward slope from the MAP sensor to the solenoid pack.
d.
Disconnect the right angle vacuum connector from the lower nipple of the solenoid nearest the passenger side shock tower.
e.
Insert the vacuum connector, PN 4104998, into the right angle vacuum connector disconnected in Step d. and attach the vacuum cap, PN
3580171, to the other end of vacuum connector.
