SUBJECT:
A/C System Doesn't Cool After Extended Driving In Hot And Humid Ambient Conditions
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves selectively erasing and reprogramming the HVAC Automatic Temperature Control (ATC).

NOTE:
**This bulletin applies to vehicles built prior to July 22, 2005 and equipped with ATC (sales Code HAF).**
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The vehicle operator notices a loss of airflow from the vents and becomes uncomfortably warm after a long drive in hot and humid weather while
operating with the air conditioning on. The A/C evaporator is freezing up. Ice forms on the evaporator and blocks airflow into the cabin.
DIAGNOSIS:
If the vehicle operator describes the Symptom/Condition, perform the Repair Procedure.
NOTE:
There are two methods to download flash files to StarSCAN(R). The first method (preferred) is to download the flash files to the StarSCAN(R) from
the internet. The second method is to download the flash files from the latest StarSCAN(R) Software Update CD.
