Removal
REMOVAL
WARNING: Before servicing the steering column the airbag system must be disarmed. Failure to do so may result in accidental deployment of
the airbag and possible personal injury.
1. Disconnect the negative (ground) cable from the battery.
2. Remove the steering column opening cover.
3. Remove the steering column opening reinforcement (1).
4. Disconnect the AutoStick wiring connector (1).
5. Remove the wiring tie strap (2) securing the AutoStick wiring to the column.
