Flash: Tire Pressure Monitoring System Deactivation (International Markets Only)
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves flashing the Wireless Control Module (WCM) and placing a copy of the last page of this Service Bulletin in the vehicles Owners'
Manual.

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Some vehicle operators may experience a "Service Tire Pressure System" (TPMS) message after installing winter tires and wheels not equipped with tire
pressure monitoring sensors.
The first time the vehicle operator experiences this condition, the Wireless Control Module (WCM) must be flashed and the vehicle driven for
approximately 10 minutes above 24 kmh (15 mph). On the next ignition key cycle, the TPMS will no longer chime or display the "Service Tire Pressure
System" (TPMS) message.
NOTE:
After the WCM has been flashed, TPMS will reset automatically after vehicle is driven and ignition key is cycled.
When the original wheels and tires (with tire pressure monitoring sensors) are reinstalled the vehicle operator may experience a "Service Tire Pressure
System" (TPMS) message. The vehicle needs to be driven for approximately 10 minutes above 24 kmh (15 mph) to learn the sensors are installed. On
the next ignition key cycle, the TPMS will no longer chime or display the "Service Tire Pressure System (TPMS) message.
DIAGNOSIS:
If the customer has changed the wheel and tire assemblies and is experiencing a "Service Tire Pressure System" (TPMS) message, perform the Repair
Procedure.
