Unscrew the front attaching screw of both right and left plastic covers surrounding the rear-most two striker bars on the floor (Figure 3).

Using two shims together, crown side up, slip the shim ends between the carpet and the plastic cover until the free end of the shims lay directly
over the striker bar as shown in Figure 4.

The shims must be positioned such that the very end of the shims do not protrude beyond the striker bar (Figure 5).

Repeat Procedure #4 for the opposite side.

Tighten both right and left cover screws to trap shims in place. Be sure the shims remain on the striker bar as described in Procedure #4.
