PLYMOUTH VOYAGER, DODGE CARAVAN AND MINI RAM VAN OPERATING
INSTRUCTION MANUAL REPLACEMENT OIL FILTER INSTRUCTIONS FOR 2.6 LITER ENGINE
Dear Chrysler Corporation Vehicle Owner:
Your satisfaction with the new Chrysler built Plymouth Voyager, Dodge Caravan and
Dodge Mini Ram Van models for 1984 is very important to us. For that reason, we are enclosing an instruction card containing important information
about your vehicle.
Operating Instruction Manuals in some early vehicles did not contain complete engine oil filter replacement instructions -- information for the 2.6L
engine was inadvertently left out. Since your vehicle is equipped with the 2.6L engine, the information on the enclosed card is important to you. After
you have read the instruction card, please retain it for future reference. You may find it convenient to staple it into your Operating Instruction Manual.

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO OWNERS OF THE FOLLOWING 1984 VEHICLES:
PLYMOUTH VOYAGER DODGE CARAVAN DODGE MINI RAM VAN
The Operating Instructions and Product Information manual provided with your vehicle contains incomplete instructions under the paragraph entitled
"Engine Oil Filter Selection".
The corrected text should read as follows:
Engine Oil Filter Selection Your vehicle is equipped with a full-flow, throwaway oil filter. Replacement filters should be the same size and type.
The following are high quality filters and are recommended for the engines indicated:
2.2L Engine . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Mopar P/N: L-335
2.6L Mitsubishi Engine. . . . . . . . . . . Mitsubishi Filter P/N: MD 031805
It is possible, particularly in cold weather, that vehicles with a 2.6L engine may develop high oil pressure for a short duration. The quality of replacement
filters varies considerably. For vehicles with a 2.6L engine you should be sure that any replacement filter used is high quality and capable of
withstanding pressure of 256 psi (manufacturer's specifications) to avoid filter and engine damage. The Mitsubishi Oil Filter, P/N-MD 031805 meets this
requirement.
