1. Remove silent shaft screw, then the silent shaft.
2. Remove oil pump to cylinder block attaching screw, then the oil pump.
Fig. 16 Left silent shaft thrust plate, removal
LEFT SILENT SHAFT THRUST PLATE, REPLACE
1. Install two .31 inch screws into tapped holes in thrust plate.
2. Turn both screws evenly until thrust plate loosens, then pull thrust plate from silent shaft.
