Front Crankshaft Seal: Service and Repair

FRONT OIL SEAL, REPLACE
1. Remove crankshaft pulley, then pry out oil seal, Fig. 13. Use caution not to nick or damage sealing surface.
2. Lightly apply suitable locking compound to outside portion of new oil seal, then install oil seal.
3. Install crankshaft drive pulley. Torque attaching bolt to 87 ft. lbs.
