DIAGNOSIS

Inspect for:

Blocked oil feed hole to the timing chain hydraulic chain tensioner located in the oil pump housing (Figure 2). Blockage occurs when a section of
the oil pump mounting gasket collapses into the channel in the pump cover which directs oil from the main oil gallery in the block to the chain
tensioner feed hole.
