SYMPTOM/CONDITION
A condition may exist on subject model vehicles of difficulty in filling the fuel tank completely and/or fuel spitback out of the filler tube during
refueling.
This condition is caused by distortion of the filler tubes internal flow modifier device and will require replacement of the filler tube as outlined below.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1.
Open fuel filler door, drain fuel tank, and remove screws at the filler tube-to-body housing.
2.
Raise vehicle and remove the tank straps and lower the fuel tank.
3.
Disconnect the vent hose connected to the filler tube and remove the filler tube from the tank grommet.
4.
Lubricate the tank end of the improved filler tube ordered from parts list with power steering fluid and install in tank grommet.
Be sure grommet area is clean before installing tube.
5.
Reconnect vent tube to filler tube assembly. Raise tank and install tank straps and check for leaks.
