Measure installed height of valve spring between spring seat and spring retainer, Fig. 25. Installed height should be 1.590 inches (40.4 mm). If
height is greater than 1.629 inches (41.4 mm), replace spring.

Adjust valves as outlined under ``Valves, Adjust.''
