REPAIR PROCEDURE
This repair involves replacing the carburetor with a revised carburetor and replacing or installing a revised EGR bleed delay valve. On 1984 models
only. in addition to the above procedure, a vacuum controlled orificed tank vapor valve (VCOTVV) will be installed.

1984 models only - Locate the rubber hose from the metal tank vent line to the vapor canister. At approximately 6" from the canister nipple, cut
the hose in two. Place the VCOTVV, PN 4306058, into the hose ends created by the cut. Be certain to install the valve in the proper position.
Look for the word "Tank" on the valve and place the nipple, which is near the word "Tank", toward the tank vent line (Figure 1).
