PARTS RETURN
Removed catalytic converters must be returned to the Warranty Material Return Center.
Initially, a small number of oxygen sensors are required to be returned to the Warranty Material Return Center. When an adequate number of returned
parts have been accumulated, Parts Return Documents will no longer be generated and parts are to be discarded.

Service Procedure
A.
REPLACE OXYGEN SENSOR:
1.
Raise vehicle on hoist.
2.
Locate oxygen sensor in the exhaust "Y" pipe before the catalytic converter as shown in Figure 1.
3.
Disconnect oxygen sensor connector.
4.
Remove oxygen sensor.
5.
Clean threads in exhaust pipe with a thread chaser.
Note:
Do not use solvents or lubricants on threads.
6.
Install provided oxygen sensor. Tighten to 22 ft lbs (30 Nm).
7.
Connect oxygen sensor connector.

REPLACE CATALYTIC CONVERTER:
Warning:
If torches are used when working on the exhaust system, do not allow the flame near the plastic fuel lines.
