Monaco V6-182 3.0L SOHC (1990)
Owner Notification and Service Scheduling
All involved vehicle owners known to Chrysler are being notified of the service requirement by first class mail. They are requested to schedule
appointments for the service with their dealers at the earliest possible date. A copy of the owner notification letter is included.
Enclosed with each owner notification is an Owner Notification Form. The involved vehicle and recall are identified on the form for owner or dealer
reference as needed.
Service Procedure
IMPORTANT:
Due to differences in the engine cooling system, the vehicle model year must be determined to properly service vehicles equipped with the 3.0L
6-cylinder engine. The 10th character of the vehicle identification number indicates the vehicle model year. Also, 1991¼ models can be
differentiated from early-1991 models by the "8" in the 12th VIN position (early-1991 models have a "7" in the 12th position).
Completion Reporting and Reimbursement
Claims for vehicles which have been serviced must be submitted on the DIAL System. Claims submitted will be used by Chrysler to record recall service
completions and provide dealer payments.
Use one of the following labor operation numbers and time allowances:
Add the cost of the recall parts package plus applicable dealer allowance to your claim.
Note:
See Warranty Policy and Procedure Manual, Chapter 6, Subsection H for complete recall claim processing instructions.
Parts Return
Not required.
