Cruise Control Module: Testing and Inspection
Fig. 1 Centering Adjustment
When a speed control malfunction occurs, all vacuum lines and electrical connections should be inspected before any repairs are made.
The Cruise Control Module calibration is preset by the manufacturer. If all vacuum lines, electrical connections and components are in good working
order and the system still does not function properly, the module can be tested, using the following procedure.
1. Using a screwdriver, carefully turn the adjusting screw to the 10 O'clock position. The adjuster has a turning limit of 3/4 turn. Do not press
hard or turn adjuster hard against stops.
2. If this adjustment has no effect on cruise control operation, replace the cruise control module.
