Intermittent Wiper Operation

MODELS:

1995 (PL) Neon

NOTE:

THIS BULLETIN APPLIES TO VEHICLES BUILT PRIOR TO APRIL 15, 1994, (MDH 04-15-XX), EQUIPPED WITH INTERMITTENT
WIPERS.

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:

Wipers may cycle once or twice and return to the park position, without operating the wiper switch. This can be caused by external radio frequency
interference (R.F.I.), i.e.; CB radio or commercial transmitting antennas. The wiper switch will function normally otherwise, in all operating modes.

Switch, Intermittent Wiper

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

This bulletin involves replacing the wiper switch with a revised part.

1.

Remove three screws holding the steering column shroud, and remove upper half of the shroud.

2.

Remove the mounting screw on the switch, and remove the switch.

3.

Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the switch.

4.

Install the new wiper switch P/N 4661943 by reconnecting the wiring harness connector, installing the mounting screw, and reinstalling the upper
half of the steering column shroud.
