Low Pressure Sensor / Switch: Description and Operation
SYSTEM OPERATION
Low Pressure Cut Off Switch
The Low Pressure Cut Off Switch monitors the refrigerant gas pressure on the suction side of the system. The low pressure cut off switch is
located on the expansion valve. The low pressure cut off switch turns off voltage to the compressor clutch coil when refrigerant gas pressure drops
to levels that could damage the compressor. The low pressure cut out switch is a sealed factory calibrated unit. It must be replaced if defective.
