The hub and bearing is mounted on the rear knuckle's spindle. The hub and bearing adapts the tire and wheel assembly to the knuckle. It's bearing
allows the tire and wheel assembly to rotate freely on the vehicle.

All vehicles are equipped with permanently lubricated and sealed for life rear wheel bearings. There is no periodic lubrication or maintenance
recommended for these units.

The only serviceable components of the hub and bearing are the wheel mounting studs.

If a vehicle is equipped with antilock brakes, the tone wheels for the rear wheel speed sensors are pressed onto the hub.
