Water On Carpet Or Water in HVAC Housing
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves cutting the drain tube flush to the body opening.

NOTE:
This bulletin applies to vehicles built before April 1, 2011 (MDH 0401XX).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The customer may experience water on the carpet or hear a sloshing sound coming from the dash.
Technicians may also notice water in the HVAC housing or water marks in the HVAC housing when repairs are made to correct the issue.
This condition happens when water does not drain fast enough out the drain tube in the cowl. With the water puddling in the cowl area and the blower
motor running it may draw water into the HVAC housing.
DIAGNOSIS:
If the above Customer experiences the symptom/condition perform the Repair Procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Open hood.
2. Remove the cowl panel. Refer to the detailed procedures available in DealerCONNECT/TechCONNECT group 23 - Body > Exterior > Cover, Cowl
Panel Removal.
