appointments for this service with their dealers. A copy of the owner notification letter is attached.
Enclosed with each owner notification is an Owner Notification Form. The involved vehicle and recall are identified on the form for owner or dealer
reference as needed.

Service Procedure
SERVICE PROCEDURE
1.
Raise the vehicle on an appropriate hoist.

Locate the existing heat shield on the lower part of the dash panel near the transmission tunnel (Figure 1).
3.
Remove the three (3) heat shield attaching nuts.
NOTE:
On vehicles equipped with a V-10 engine, the heater hoses must be moved aside to access the heat shield nuts.
4.
Remove the heat shield by sliding it inboard and down. Discard the heat shield.
5.
Install the new heat shield. Tighten the three (3) nuts securely.
6.
Lower the vehicle.
