When diagnosing the root cause on the subject model vehicles for a transmission that is difficult to shift into gear, grinds when shifting into gear, and/or
inadvertently pops out of first gear, it is important to verify that the transmission was built with the correct 1-2 shift fork. Several NV35OO manual
transmissions may have been built with the wrong 1-2 shift fork. To verify if the 1-2 shift fork in the transmission is the correct shift fork, compare the
1-2 shift fork in the transmission with the Figures showing features of the correct and incorrect shift fork.
If it is determined the wrong 1-2 shift fork is installed into the transmission, replace the 1-2 shift fork with p/n 048S6077AA
