Install the detent plunger, p/n 05013348AA, on top of the detent spring and compress both parts into the bore (Fig. 2).

Press and hold the detent plunger in the lever bore. Then carefully rotate the lever upward into the shift fork arm notches. Be sure the detent
plunger is seated in the fork arms before proceeding.
10.
Following the Service Manual instructions, complete the assembly of the transmission and install the transmission in the vehicle.
11.
Verify the correct transmission fluid level.
