Leak Detection Pump: Service and Repair
Natural Vac Leak Detection Pump
Equipped With Horizontally Mounted EVAP Canisters
REMOVAL
The NVLD pump (4) is attached to the EVAP canister.
1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Certain models, equipped with a certain fuel tank size, may require the removal of the fuel tank skid plate and/or the transfer case skid plate to gain
access to the leak pump. Remove necessary skid plates.
3. Disconnect electrical connector at NVLD assembly.
4. Carefully disconnect vapor lines from NVLD assembly.
