2. Remove axle fill plug and verify current level of lubricant (Fig 1).

3. Is axle lubricant at correct level?

a. Yes >>> proceed to Step # 4

b. No >>> Fill axle to correct level before proceeding. Reinstall fill plug and torque to 52 ft. lbs. (70 n.m). Proceed to Step # 4

4. Remove vent hose from vent nipple. Slide clamp up the hose 1 to 2 inches with hand or screwdriver. (Fig 2).

NOTE:

Do not cut clamp or relieve pressure on clamp. Clamp will be reused.

5. Use a 2.5 inch long hose, same diameter as the vent hose, press it on the vent nipple barbed fitting.
