Engine Mount: Service and Repair

REMOVAL 

1. Raise hood and position fan to assure clearance for radiator top tank and hose.
2. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.

CAUTION: DO NOT lift the engine by the intake manifold.

3. Install engine lifting fixture.
4. Raise vehicle on hoist.

5. Remove nuts from brackets and insulators.
6. Raise engine with support fixture only far enough to remove insulators.

INSTALLATION 

1. If removed, install the engine mounting bracket to the cylinder block. Tighten the bolts to 88 Nm (65 ft. lbs.) torque. 
2. With engine raised SLIGHTLY, install insulators.
3. Lower engine with support fixture while guiding insulator studs into attaching holes in crossmember and brackets.
4. Tighten the attaching nuts to 102 Nm (75 ft. lbs.) torque.
