Rear Door Latch: Service and Repair
Rear Cargo Doors

LATCH

REMOVAL

1. Open the rear cargo door.
2. Remove the trim panel from the door inner panel.
3. Disconnect these door components for latch removal:

-

Outside handle latch rod from the latch

-

Lock cylinder latch rod from the latch

-

Inside handle latch rod from the latch

-

Lock motor latch rod from the latch

-

Lock knob latch rod from the latch

4. Remove the door latch screws from the door inner side panel (Fig. 8).
5. Remove the door latch from the door.

INSTALLATION

1. Position the latch at the door inner side panel and connect the rods to it.
2. Install the latch screws in the door inner side panel.
3. Test and make sure that the latch operates correctly.
4. Install the door trim panel.
