REMOVAL
Fig. 14
NOTE: The lower track contains a quiet mat door catch. The mat contains a detent at the rear of the track and prevents the door from sliding forward
when the door is open (Fig. 14).The lower track quiet mat door catch is attached to the vehicle by tape.
1. Soften the quiet mat tape adhesive with a heat gun.
2. Lift one edge of the quiet mat with a putty knife and peel the mat and tape from the track channel. Apply additional heat to any location where the
mat remains adhered to the channel.
3. Remove the residual tape adhesive from the channel.
INSTALLATION
1. Clean the painted panel surface with a commercial wax and silicone removal solution. Wipe the surface with a clean cloth and allow it to dry.
2. Freshly painted surfaces must be thoroughly dry. If not, the residual solvent in the paint could adversely affect the tape adhesive.
3. Remove the backing from the quiet mat, align the mat and position it the track channel.
4. Press the quiet mat into the track channel with a roller (or use hand pressure) to ensure complete adhesion.
