Blower Motor Resistor: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
Front
1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.

2. Unplug the wire harness connector from the blower motor resistor, which is located on the inboard side of the heater-A/C housing.
3. Remove the two screws that secure the blower motor resistor to the heater-A/C housing.
4. Remove the front blower motor resistor from the heater-A/C housing.
Rear
The rear blower motor resistor is used only on models with the optional rear heater-A/C unit.
1. Before beginning this procedure, place the rear heater-A/C unit in the heat mode by turning the ignition switch to the ON position and placing the
temperature control knob on the heater-A/C control in the full hot position.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
3. Remove the cover from the rear heater-A/C unit.
4. Reach under the front of the rear heater-A/C unit to access and unplug the wire harness connector from the rear blower motor resistor.
5. Remove the horizontal duct from the rear heater-A/C unit.
