RAM 1500 Van V8-5.9L VIN Z LDC (2001)
8. Remove pitman arm nut from steering gear and remove pitman arm with Remover C-4150A.
INSTALLATION
NOTE: Use care to avoid damaging the seals when removing steering components.
1. Install idler arms and retaining nuts and bolts. Tighten nuts to 155 Nm (115 ft. lbs.).
2. Install center link on idler arm ball studs. Install ball stud nuts and tighten to 64 Nm (47 ft. lbs.). Install new cotter pins.
3. Install tie-rod end ball studs to steering knuckle arms and center link. Tighten ball stud nuts to:

LD 9/16 nuts: 75 Nm (55 ft. lbs.)

HD 518 nuts: 102 Nm (75 ft. lbs.)
4. Install new cotter pins.
5. Install pitman arm on steering gear and tighten retaining nut to 251 Nm (185 ft. lbs.).
6. Connect the drag link to the pitman arm and center link. Tighten the nuts to 75 Nm (55 ft. lbs.) and install new cotter pins.
7. Remove supports and lower the vehicle. Adjust the wheel toe position.
